A few thunderstorms and rainshowers persisted across northwestern
Kansas overnight, with mostly clear skies across southwest Kansas.
Low temperatures overnight ranged from the low 60s in eastern
Colorado and northwest Kansas, to near 80 in northeast Kansas.

Southwest flow aloft will persist across the western plains as a
large low pressure trough slowly moves east across the western
United States. A broad area of surface low pressure will remain
across the Central Plains into the weekend. A weak upper level
disturbance will bring a slight chance for thunderstorms to western
Kansas this evening, with temperatures remaining above normal
through tomorrow.

Highs today will reach into the mid 90s to near 100 across almost
all of Kansas today, with low to mid 90s in eastern Colorado and the
northwest corner of Kansas. Lows tonight will drop into the low to
upper 60s from eastern Colorado through northwest Kansas, with low
to upper 70s across the rest of Kansas.
