REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY FOR WESTERN KANSAS

A line of showers and thunderstorms formed in Colorado and moved
east this evening. Other isolated thunderstorms formed along a weak
low pressure trough extending from north central Kansas into eastern
Colorado. Afternoon high temperatures in western Kansas varied from
the upper 90s to around 106 degrees.

High pressure aloft will remain above New Mexico and Oklahoma
tonight, with an upper level disturbance moving east across Kansas.
A cold front extending from northwest Kansas across southeast
Nebraska will remain nearly stationary through Saturday. There is a
continued chance for showers and isolated thunderstorms in western
Kansas this evening. Mild overnight low temperatures are expected in
the Central Plains with a typical summer day on Saturday.

Overnight low temperatures will be in the upper 60s in western
Nebraska, western Kansas and the Texas Panhandle. Saturday afternoon
high temperatures are expected from the upper 90s in Nebraska to
several degrees to near 105 in the Oklahoma Panhandle.
