...ICE STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST /5 AM MST/
MONDAY...

* TIMING...AN AREA OF MODERATE FREEZING RAIN WILL MOVE ACROSS
SOUTHWEST KANSAS INTO CENTRAL KANSAS THIS MORNING, AND
ADDITIONAL EPISODES OF HEAVIER PRECIPITATION CAN BE EXPECTED
LATE IN THE MORNING AND SUNDAY NIGHT. THE PRECIPITATION IS
LIKELY TO CHANGE TO SNOW IN FAR WESTERN KANSAS TONIGHT AND
ACROSS MUCH OF SOUTHWEST KANSAS BY MONDAY MORNING.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...WIDESPREAD HALF INCH TO THREE-QUARTERS INCH.
MUCH OF THE RAIN THAT FALLS WITH MODERATE TO HEAVY RATES WILL
RUN OFF INSTEAD OF ACCUMULATING ON EXPOSED OBJECTS. EVEN SO,
THERE WILL BE SUFFICIENT ACCUMULATION OF ICE TO CAUSE
SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO TREES AND POWER LINES. THE GREATEST ICE
ACCUMULATION IS LIKELY SOUTHEAST OF A LINE FROM LIBERAL TO
  LACROSSE.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...TWO TO FOUR INCHES OF SNOW COULD FALL
SUNDAY NIGHT INTO MONDAY MORNING MAINLY WEST OF HIGHWAY 83
  WITH LIGHTER AMOUNTS FARTHER EAST.

* MAIN IMPACT...FREEZING RAIN AND POTENTIALLY SIGNIFICANT ICING.
ICE ACCUMULATIONS OF ONE HALF INCH TO THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH
MAY CAUSE SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO TREES AND POWER LINES.

* OTHER IMPACTS...TRAVEL WILL BECOME VERY HAZARDOUS WITH ICE
COVERED ROADWAYS. TREES AND POWER LINES MAY BREAK AND RESULT
IN POWER OUTAGES AND DAMAGE TO VEHICLES AND STRUCTURES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

AN ICE STORM WARNING MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE
EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF ICE ACCUMULATIONS
WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS OR IMPOSSIBLE. TRAVEL IS STRONGLY
DISCOURAGED. COMMERCE WILL LIKELY BE SEVERELY IMPACTED. IF YOU
MUST TRAVEL...KEEP AN EXTRA FLASHLIGHT...FOOD...AND WATER IN YOUR
VEHICLE IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY. ICE ACCUMULATIONS AND WINDS WILL
LIKELY LEAD TO SNAPPED POWER LINES AND FALLING TREE BRANCHES THAT
ADD TO THE DANGER.

* TIMING...SCATTERED FREEZING RAIN SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE WITH MORE
WIDESPREAD FREEZING RAIN AFTER SUNRISE. THE FREEZING RAIN MAY BE
MODERATE TO HEAVY AT TIMES SUNDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHT BUT SHOULD
DECREASE IN INTENSITY EARLY MONDAY. FREEZING RAIN MAY CHANGE TO
SNOW OVER FAR WESTERN KANSAS SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY MORNING.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...WIDESPREAD ONE QUARTER TO ONE HALF INCH.
HIGHER RAINFALL RATES WILL RESULT IN RUNOFF OF MUCH OF THE RAIN
BEFORE IT FREEZES ON EXPOSED OBJECTS. EVEN SO, THERE WILL BE
SUFFICIENT ACCUMULATION OF ICE TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO TREES AND
  POWER LINES.

* MAIN IMPACT...FREEZING RAIN AND POTENTIALLY SIGNIFICANT ICING IS
