...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 PM CDT
FOR GREENE...WESTERN WEBSTER...POCAHONTAS...NORTHEASTERN SAC...
CALHOUN...WESTERN HUMBOLDT AND NORTHEASTERN CARROLL COUNTIES...

At 1051 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Pocahontas to near Rinard to near Jefferson,
moving northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
         homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Jefferson, Pocahontas, Rockwell City, Manson, Laurens, Gowrie, North
Twin Lake, South Twin Lake, Grand Junction, Pomeroy, Fonda, Rolfe,
Scranton, Gilmore City, Churdan, Callender, Farnhamville, Lohrville,
Twin Lakes, and Rippey.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 300 AM CDT for central, north
central, northwestern and west central Iowa.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
