There is up to a 50 percent chance for showers and thunderstorms
across the Sierra Nevada this afternoon and evening. Temperatures
will remain slightly above normal this weekend then lower to near
normal on Monday. Gusty westerly winds will develop across the
Kern County mountains and desert each afternoon and evening with
the strongest gusts expected on Sunday and Monday.
