Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama

.DISCUSSION...

Low clouds this morning will lift and scatter by late morning
or during the midday hours. Peak mixing heights this afternoon
will climb above 5000-6000 ft AGL with generally good to good
smoke dispersion. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will enter
northwest Alabama this afternoon, and move east across the rest
of north Alabama this evening and overnight. A cold front will
then drop southeast on Friday bringing another chance of showers
and thunderstorms. A few of the thunderstorms this evening into
Friday could be strong, with hail and gusty winds. Chances of
rain will continue Saturday, and especially on Sunday along with
much cooler temperatures.

Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy dense fog will occur
this morning.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: Not expected.
