...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WILMINGTON FROST/FREEZE PROGRAM TO
RESUME MARCH 15...

The National Weather Service in Wilmington will resume the frost
and freeze program for southeast North Carolina and northeast
South Carolina on March 15. Thus, frost advisories, freeze
watches and freeze warnings will be issued as needed beginning
this Friday, and continuing through fall 2024, according to the
following criteria:

...Frost Advisory...

80 percent or greater probability that scattered or widespread
frost will occur in the next 12-24 hours. Minimum temperatures of
33-36 degrees, with good radiational cooling and elevated relative
humidity.

...Freeze Watch...

50 percent or greater probability that temperatures will be 32
degrees or lower, usually within 12 to 48 hours.

...Freeze Warning...

80 percent or greater probability that temperatures will be 32
degrees or lower, usually within 12 to 24 hours.
