...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Missouri...Illinois...

  Mississippi River at Grafton.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Missouri...Illinois...

  Mississippi River at Chester.

  Mississippi River near Herculaneum.

  Mississippi River at Mel Price LD.

River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 24 hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise even
higher than predicted. The National Weather Service will monitor
this developing situation and issue follow up statements as
conditions change.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY SATURDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Grafton.

* WHEN...Until early Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Water begins flooding the floor at the
  Palisades Marina in Portage Des Sioux.  Access to homes along
  North Shore Drive in eastern St. Charles County becomes cut off
  near this height.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 20.1 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:00 PM CDT Thursday was 20.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    late this evening and continue falling to 16.8 feet Wednesday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Chester.

* WHEN...Until Tuesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 31.5 feet, In Perry County, Highway E is closed
  between County Road 322 and Levee Road (County Road 354) at Bois
  Brule Creek.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 30.8 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:00 PM CDT Thursday was 31.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 31.6
    feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood
    stage late Monday morning.
  - Flood stage is 27.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River near Herculaneum.

* WHEN...Until Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 28.3 feet, Near this height, the walking trail
  (extension of Station Road) at Bates Memorial Park begins flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:30 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 26.8 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:30 PM CDT Thursday was 27.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise to 27.0 feet just after
    midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early
    tomorrow afternoon to 22.9 feet early Monday morning. It will
    rise to 23.0 feet Tuesday morning. It will then fall again
    and remain below flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 26.0 feet.

  of this level.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 23.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:00 PM CDT Thursday was 23.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    tomorrow evening and continue falling to 18.6 feet Wednesday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
