...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 AM EDT THIS MORNING...
...REPLACES FLASH FLOOD WARNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central and northern West Virginia, including
  the following counties, in central West Virginia, Braxton,
  Calhoun, Clay, Gilmer, Roane and Taylor. In northern West
  Virginia, Doddridge, Harrison, Lewis and Ritchie.

* WHEN...Until 645 AM EDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1241 AM EDT, emergency management reported flooding due to
    prior heavy rain in the warned area. Flooding is already
    occurring. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in
    the warned area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Clarksburg, Weston, Glenville, Sutton, Grantsville,
    Bridgeport, Shinnston, Stonewood, Nutter Fort, Salem,
    Gassaway, Lumberport, Anmoore, Cedar Creek State Park,
    Stonewall Jackson, Jackson Mill, Arnoldsburg, Big Otter,
    Wallback and Enterprise.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll
free, 800 401 9535, when you can do so safely.
