.NOVEMBER 2017 WAS COLDER THAN NORMAL WITH BELOW NORMAL
PRECIPITATION AT DULUTH MN...

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR NOVEMBER WAS 25.7 DEGREES WHICH WAS 3.1
DEGREES BELOW THE NORMAL OF 28.8 DEGREES. THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURE
FOR THE MONTH WAS 47 DEGREES ON THE 27TH. THE LOWEST TEMPERATURE WAS
-5 DEGREES ON THE 10TH. THREE DAILY TEMPERATURE RECORDS WERE BROKEN
FOR THE MONTH. THE RECORD DAILY COLDEST HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 18 DEGREES
WAS SET ON THE 9TH. THIS BROKE THE PREVIOUS RECORD OF 19 DEGREES SET
IN 1986. THE RECORD LOW TEMPERATURE OF 0 DEGREES WAS SET ON THE 9TH.
THIS BROKE THE PREVIOUS RECORD OF 5 DEGREES SET IN 1959.THE RECORD LOW
TEMPERATURE OF -5 DEGREES WAS SET ON THE 10TH. THIS BROKE THE PREVIOUS
RECORD OF 1 DEGREE SET IN 1986. 12 DAYS HAD AVERAGE TEMPERATURES ABOVE
NORMAL.

RECORDS WERE BROKEN FOR THE MONTH.

THE AVERAGE WIND SPEED FOR THE MONTH WAS 10.5 MPH. THE WINDIEST DAY
OF THE MONTH WAS ON THE 28TH WITH AN AVERAGE WIND OF 18.5 MPH. THE
HIGHEST SUSTAINED WIND OCCURRED ON THE 28TH WITH A SPEED OF 36 MPH
OUT OF THE WEST. A PEAK WIND GUST OF 47 MPH WAS RECORDED ON THE 21ST
AND THE 28TH.

THE MONTH WHICH WAS NORMAL. THE SEASONAL TOTAL COOLING DEGREE DAYS
STANDS AT 126 WHICH WAS 78 BELOW THE NORMAL OF 204.  THE LOWEST SEA
LEVEL PRESSURE READING WAS 29.27 INCHES REACHED ON THE 24TH.

THE OUTLOOK FOR DECEMBER...NORMAL HIGHS BEGIN IN THE UPPER 20S AT THE
BEGINNING OF THE MONTH AND COOL TO THE UPPER TEENS BY THE END OF THE
MONTH. NORMAL LOWS FOR THE MONTH BEGIN IN THE MID TEENS AND COOL TO
THE SINGLE DIGITS ABOVE ZERO BY THE END OF THE MONTH. NORMAL
PRECIPITATION FOR DECEMBER IS 1.21 INCHES. NORMAL SNOWFALL FOR
DECEMBER IS 17.7 INCHES. THE LATEST CLIMATE PREDICTION CENTER
OUTLOOK INDICATES THAT THERE IS FORECAST CONFIDENCE IN BELOW NORMAL
TEMPERATURES AND THERE IS NOT A STRONG SIGNAL OF HAVING ABOVE OR BELOW
NORMAL PRECIPITATION.
