THIS AUGUST HAS SEEN A SERIES OF SUBTROPICAL LOWS MOVING THROUGH, BRINGING
PERSISTENT RAINFALL WITH ONLY A FEW DAYS OF RESPITE. WITH 23 INCHES OF RAINFALL,
THIS MONTH HAS BROUGHT IN OVER A QUARTER OF ANNUAL ACCUMULATION TOTALS THUS FAR.
AUGUST 14TH EVEN SET A NEW DAILY RECORD WITH OVER FOUR INCHES RECORDED. STRONGER
WINDS ACCOMPANIED THE INCLEMENT WEATHER AND THREE DAYS OF WINDS PEAKING ABOVE 35KTS
WERE OBSERVED. TEMPERATURES WERE WITHIN AVERAGE VALUES AND CONSISTENT WITH RECENT
YEARS.
