.SYNOPSIS FOR THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS...
A weak southerly is expected today and this evening ahead of
another cold front. Isolated to scattered showers are expected
today as an upper level jet combines with adequate moisture. A
cold front will move into the waters overnight tonight. The front,
along with more energy from the upper level jet, will produce
scattered showers with a slight chance for thunderstorms tonight
and Wednesday morning. Strong offshore flow and higher seas will
occur in the wake of the front, with occasional gusts around gale
force over portions of the gulf waters. Winds and rain chances
will diminish on Wednesday afternoon as drier air moves into the
region and the pressure gradient relaxes. A weak to moderate
offshore flow is expected Thursday becoming onshore by Friday. A
weak onshore flow is expected through the weekend.
