.SYNOPSIS FOR THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS...
A WEAK ONSHORE FLOW IS EXPECTED TODAY...BECOMING WEAK TO
OCCASIONALLY MODERATE TONIGHT. AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH WILL IMPACT
THE WATERS TODAY AND THIS EVENING...PROVIDING A CHANCE FOR SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS. AS THE TROUGH SWINGS EAST ON SATURDAY...THE
SURFACE WINDS WILL BECOME MORE WESTERLY. A STRONG COLD FRONT IS
EXPECTED TO MOVE ACROSS THE REGION SATURDAY NIGHT RESULTING IN
GALE FORCE CONDITIONS SUNDAY. FREQUENT GUSTS TO GALE FORCE ARE
EXPECTED ACROSS THE BAYS AND NEARSHORE WATERS WITH SUSTAINED GALE
FORCE WINDS ACROSS THE OFFSHORE WATERS. THE POTENTIAL DOES EXIST
FOR BRIEF STORM FORCE GUSTS OVER THE OFFSHORE COASTAL WATERS
SUNDAY AFTERNOON. THE VERY STRONG WINDS WILL ALSO LEAD TO LARGE
CHAOTIC SEAS. CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO BEGIN IMPROVING SUNDAY
NIGHT INTO MONDAY.
