...HIGH STREAM FLOWS IN SOUTHERN OWYHEE COUNTY CONTINUE...

RIVERS...CREEKS AND STREAMS IN SOUTHERN OWYHEE COUNTY CONTINUE TO
RUN HIGH DUE TO RECENT RAINFALL AND SNOWMELT. IN PARTICULAR...CREEKS
AND STREAMS IN UPPER PORTIONS OF THE BRUNEAU RIVER AND JARBIDGE
RIVER WATERSHEDS ARE EXPERIENCING HIGH FLOWS.

UNSETTLED WEATHER IS EXPECTED THROUGH THE END OF THE WEEK WHICH
MAY BRING MORE RAINFALL TO THESE AREAS. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL
COMBINED WITH RUNOFF FROM HIGH ELEVATION SNOWMELT MAY CAUSE MINOR
FLOODING ALONG SOME WATERWAYS...PARTICULARLY IN THE THREE CREEK
AND MURPHY HOT SPRINGS AREAS...AND OTHER LOCATIONS NEAR THE NEVADA
BORDER. A WARMING TREND WILL OCCUR EARLY NEXT WEEK WHICH WILL
INCREASE SNOWMELT.

IF YOU HAVE PLANS TO TRAVEL IN THESE AREAS OR UTILIZE BACKCOUNTRY
ROADS NEAR THE NEVADA BORDER...BE AWARE THAT UNPAVED ROADS MAY BE
IMPASSABLE AT TIMES AND QUITE MUDDY.
