...Hydrologic Outlook for quick rises on rivers and streams in
the following counties in Oregon...Coos...Curry...
.A frontal boundary will linger near the coast tonight. Coastal areas
in Coos and Curry county have already received around 1 to 5 inches of
rainfall between Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Additional rainfall
of 1 to 2 inches is possible tonight, especially in Curry county and
inland areas of Coos county. This rainfall is expected to allow
streams and rivers to continue to rise. Rises will be significant
and some streams and rivers may near bankfull tonight into Monday.
However, no flooding is expected at this time.
A flood potential outlook is issued when there is the potential for
significant rises or flooding along rivers and streams.
This Hydrologic Outlook statement will be updated as needed on Monday.
The exact scenario for flooding remains uncertainty but there is the
potential for flooding. Watches and warnings will be issued by the
National Weather Service if this situation worsens.
