FLOOD STATEMENT

...The flood warning continues for points along the Missouri River...

             ...Chamois
             ...Gasconade

.This Flood Warning is increasing the water levels due to the threat
of addtional heavy rainfall over the basin in amounts up to three inches
late Monday night into Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Heavy rains could cause river levels to rise even higher than predicted.

The National Weather Service will continue to monitor this developing
situation and issue follow up statements as forecasts change.

Safety message: Never drive cars, trucks, or sport utility vehicles
through flooded areas. The water may be too deep to allow for safe
passage.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Missouri River near Chamois
* until further notice.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Minor looding is forecast.
* Forecast: The river will fall to near 12.9 feet tuesday morning
  and rise again to crest near 24.1 feet by Thursday afternoon.
* Impact: At 24.3 feet...Hwy 94 near Portland begins flooding.
* Impact: At 23.8 feet...The nearby RV park, begins to flood.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Missouri River at Gasconade
* until further notice.
* The morning stage was estimated at 20.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast: The river will fall to near 17.9 feet tuesday morning
  and rise again to near 29.7 feet by Thursday evening.
* Impact:  At 24.5 feet...Southern portions of Old Rock Road and
  Twisters Road south of Rhineland begin flooding near this height.
* Impact:  At 23.5 feet...The southern end of School House Road south
  of Rhineland begins flooding near this height.
* Impact:  At 22.4 feet...Gasconade Park boat ramp...BBQ grills...and
  parking area begins flooding near this height.
