FLOOD STATEMENT

...The flood warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...
Kentucky...Illinois...

  Ohio River at Newburgh Dam...Mount Vernon...J.T. Myers Dam and
  Shawneetown

.Several river points on the Ohio River remain above flood stage with
minor flooding occurring. They have or will crest by tonight, and
gradually fall through the week. At this time, all locations should
fall below flood stage by late in the week.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SAFETY MESSAGE...

Never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded
areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow
children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather
Radio or your local media for further statements and possible updated
forecasts.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Ohio River at Newburgh Dam.
* Until Tuesday afternoon.
* At  8:00 AM Monday the stage was 40.0 feet.
* Flood Stage is 38.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
  tomorrow morning.
* Impact...At 38.0 Feet...Minor flooding occurs.  The river is 2500
  feet wide and begins covering agricultural land on the Kentucky
  side.

* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
  Wednesday morning.

* Until Thursday morning.
* At  8:00 AM Monday the stage was 38.9 feet.
* Flood Stage is 37.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 39.0 feet by this
  afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage Thursday morning.
* Impact...At 37.0 Feet...Minor flooding occurs affecting mainly
  bottomland and surrounding low lying areas.

* Until Thursday night.
* At  8:30 AM Monday the stage was 36.8 feet.
* Flood Stage is 33.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 36.9 feet by this
  evening. The river will fall below flood stage Thursday before
  midnight.
