THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TUCSON HAS ISSUED AN

* URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  NORTHWESTERN PIMA COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST ARIZONA...

* UNTIL 900 PM MST

* AT 655 PM MST NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR DEPICTED AN
AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING HEAVY RAINFALL FROM THE AJO AREA
SOUTHWESTWARD INTO THE LITTLE AJO MOUNTAINS. RADAR ESTIMATES
INDICATE RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 0.75 INCHES TO 1.5 INCHES IN THE LAST
HOUR. THIS WILL RESULT IN URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING. WASHES
THAT ARE EXPECTED TO RUN INCLUDE GIBSON ARROYO AND THE RIO CORNEZ
WASH IN THE AJO AREA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE ELEVATED LEVELS IN
WASHES AND STREAMS...AND PONDING OF WATER IN URBAN AREAS...
HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER POOR DRAINAGE
AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
