...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 AM EDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southern Vermont, including the following
  counties, Rutland and Windsor.

* WHEN...Until 745 AM EDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from
  earlier rainfall.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 135 AM EDT, rain and snowmelt is causing flooding.
  - As of 135 AM, the Ottauquechee River at West Bridgewater was
    at 7.3 ft, which is in minor flood stage. At 6.5 feet, high
    water will impact low lying properties along the river near
    Route 4 from Killington downstream to Bridgewater.
    Bridgewater Corners will experience minor flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
