...Showers And Storms Today With Gusty Winds And Small Hail...

.DISCUSSION...
A potent trough of low pressure will move across the region later
this morning and afternoon. Scattered to numerous showers and
isolated thunderstorms will develop during this time period and
any of the storms will have the potential to produce gusty winds
in the 30 to 40 mph range and small hail. Total rainfall will
generally be less than a quarter inch. The showers decrease in
areal coverage through the first half of the night with dry
weather during the overnight hours and into the morning hours on
Wednesday. Some showers are possible near the international border
Wednesday afternoon but most of the area will stay dry. Below
normal temperatures are expected today and Wednesday and this will
keep afternoon minimum relative humidities in the 50 percent
range. A change to a warmer and wetter pattern will take place as
early as Thursday and continue right through the weekend. Thus no
fire weather concerns are expected.
