FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA...UPDATE OF THE DISCUSSION FOR THURSDAY...
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
310 PM EST WED NOV 26 2014

.DISCUSSION...IN THE WAKE OF A DEPARTING COASTAL LOW PRESSURE
SYSTEM...DRY AIR WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE INTO THE AREA LATE THIS
AFTERNOON THROUGH THE NIGHT. SURFACE AND TRANSPORT WINDS WILL
DIMINISH SOMEWHAT TOWARD SUNSET...BUT FAIR DISPERSION IS EXPECTED
THROUGH THE NIGHT AHEAD OF AN APPROACHING COLD FRONT. THE FRONT WILL
CROSS THE AREA TOWARD DAYBREAK THURSDAY...WITH COLDER AND EVEN DRIER
AIR MOVING IN THROUGH THE DAYTIME.

NO FOG OR PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED EARLY THURSDAY DUE TO THE DRYING
ATMOSPHERE. WINDS DURING THE DAYTIME WILL INCREASE OUT OF THE
WEST-NORTHWEST...WITH SPEEDS OF 10 TO 15 MPH AND GUSTING TO 25 MPH
(SURFACE)...AND 15 TO 25 MPH (TRANSPORT). MINIMUM RH VALUES ARE
EXPECTED TO STAY ABOVE 30 PERCENT THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON.

CANADIAN HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD INTO THE REGION FROM THE WEST
THURSDAY EVENING INTO THE WEEKEND.
