Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia

.DISCUSSION...High pressure centered off the East Coast will
circulate an onshore flow with increased low-level moisture in
the forecast area through Tuesday. Isolated to scattered showers
and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening will favor the
southeastern part of the Midlands and CSRA. A slight increase
in shower and thunderstorm coverage across the entire area is
expected Tuesday. Patchy fog will occur during the early morning
hours today and Tuesday with any fog dissipating around 900 am.
It will remain hot through Tuesday with afternoon heat index
values peaking around 100.
