FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA

.DISCUSSION...LOW PRESSURE OFF THE COAST WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE
AWAY FROM THE REGION AS A HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE BUILDS IN. THE
RIDGE WILL EXTEND THROUGH THE FORECAST AREA ON MONDAY. CLOUD
COVER WILL BEGIN TO DIMINISH INTO THIS EVENING. WINDS WILL START
OUT THE EVENING FROM THE NORTH AT 8-15 MPH AND WILL DECREASE
TO 5-10 MPH OVERNIGHT AND BECOME LIGHT AROUND SUNRISE AS THE
RIDGE GET CLOSER AND THE PRESSURE GRADIENT DIMINISHES. MONDAY
WILL BE VERY DRY WITH RELATIVE HUMIDITY LOWERING TO AROUND
25 PERCENT. WINDS WILL BE MAINLY LIGHT THROUGH THE DAY ON
MONDAY. FOG IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH THE FORECAST PERIOD. A COLD
FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE REGION LATE TUESDAY BRINGING A CHANCE
OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. AHEAD OF THE FRONT...WINDS WILL
INCREASE ON TUESDAY TO 10-20 MPH.
