FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE STATE COLLEGE PA
215 PM EDT SUN MAY 29 2016

.DISCUSSION...

LOW PRESSURE APPROACHING FROM THE MIDWEST WILL SPREAD INCREASING
CLOUDS ACROSS PENNSYLVANIA THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING...ALONG WITH THE
CHANCE SHOWERS OR THUNDERSTORMS, ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE WESTERN AND
NORTHERN PARTS OF THE STATE. THE WIND WILL REMAIN LIGHT AND RELATIVE
HUMIDITY FAIRLY HIGH.

THE FOCUS OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL SHIFT FROM NORTHWEST
TO SOUTHEAST ACROSS PENNSYLVANIA TONIGHT, AS A WEAK COLD FRONT
MOVES THROUGH THE AREA. THE SHOWERS WILL LIKELY BE HIT AND MISS
ACROSS MOST OF THE STATE. HOWEVER, A PERIOD OF STEADIER AND
HEAVIER RAIN IS EXPECTED OVER SOUTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA, WHERE OVER
AN INCH OF RAIN IS LIKELY TONIGHT.

THE STEADIEST RAIN SHOULD EXIT EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA EARLY MONDAY.
HOWEVER, A POP UP SHOWER OR THUNDERSTORM WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE
MONDAY AFTERNOON OVER CENTRAL AND EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA. WINDS WILL REMAIN
LIGHT ON MONDAY AND RELATIVE HUMIDITY FAIRLY HIGH.
