Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Northern Alabama

.DISCUSSION...

An upper level ridge of high pressure will remain in place across
north Alabama through Monday.  This will provide seasonably warm
weather and good drying conditions. Afternoon RH values will drop
into the 40-50 percent range with deep mixing heights of 5000-6500
ft agl today and 7500-8500 ft agl on Sunday.  Smoke dispersion will
be fair to generally good this weekend with generally light flow.

Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy valley fog is expected
both this morning and again late tonight and early Sunday morning.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: Red Flag conditions are not
anticipated during the next several days.
