Critical fire weather conditions will linger into the evening

conditions on the plains as well. Scattered showers and
thunderstorms are expected this evening, mainly over the central
mountains and Palmer Divide.

On Thursday, gusty winds will develop again in the San Luis
Valley, with critical fire weather conditions returning in the
afternoon. Elsewhere, dry and cooler conditions are expected.
Unsettled conditions return Friday and Saturday with breezy winds
and scattered showers, then drier, warmer potentially windy weather
returns for Sunday through Tuesday.

Afternoon smoke dispersion will reach very good to excellent
levels both Thursday and Friday.
