FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UTAH
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SALT LAKE CITY UT
444 AM MDT WED JUL 30 2014

...SLOW DRYING TREND BEGINNING LATER TODAY...

.BROADCAST DISCUSSION...ISOLATED TO SCATTERED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THIS EVENING ACROSS THE DISTRICT.
THE AREA WILL SEE A SLOW DRYING TREND FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK...BUT
ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS REMAIN A THREAT.

.DISCUSSION...MONSOONAL MOISTURE REMAINS TRAPPED OVER NORTHERN
UTAH AS IT WRAPS AROUND THE LOW CENTER WHICH HAS MOVED INTO WYOMING.
ANOTHER BAND OF MOISTURE REMAINS DRAPED ACROSS SOUTHERN UTAH THIS
MORNING BUT IS EXPECTED TO SHEAR APART BEFORE AFTERNOON. SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS WILL LINGER ACROSS THE DISTRICT BUT DECREASE AS THE
DAY WEARS ON. ANY EARLY MORNING STORMS HAVE THE POTENTIAL FOR
WETTING RAINFALL. THE DISTRICT WILL SEE A SLOW DRYING TREND THROUGH
THE DAY...HOWEVER...MORE THAN ENOUGH MOISTURE WILL REMAIN IN PLACE
FOR ISOLATED TO WIDELY SCATTERED AFTERNOON CONVECTION WITH SOME
LINGERING INTO THE EVENING HOURS. UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF HIGH
PRESSURE...WINDS WILL BE GENERALLY LIGHT OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS
ACROSS THE DISTRICT OUTSIDE OF THUNDERSTORMS.

***THUNDERSTORMS IMPLY STRONG GUSTY AND ERRATIC WINDS***
***ALL WINDS ARE 20 FOOT...10-MINUTE AVERAGES***
