...FIRE WEATHER WATCH FOR LIGHTNING IN EFFECT WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT...

.DISCUSSION...Light winds and dry conditions will continue Tuesday,
as high pressure builds northward over Idaho. A cold front and
associated upper level trough will slowly approach the Goat Fire
from the west beginning late Tuesday night. This front will aid
instability; generating showers and thunderstorms near the fire
Wednesday, Wednesday night, and Thursday. Frontal passage is
currently timed for approximately 1800 MDT Thursday evening.
Storms will likely produce 0.10 to 0.60 inches of rainfall and
wind gusts to 45 mph.
