This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southwest
Minnesota, central South Dakota, east central South Dakota, south
central South Dakota, and southeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

An isolated thunderstorm capable of hail to around half-dollar
size will be possible toward Brookings and Marshall later
Thursday night. Otherwise, thunderstorm chances will increase by
later Friday and continue at times through the weekend. Storms
late Friday afternoon into evening will develop from south central
to east central SD, and a few could be severe with large hail,
damaging wind, and even a tornado. After this, location of the
severe weather threat both Saturday and Sunday remains difficult
to determine, dependent on where the the boundary sets up.

What is very evident is that there will be potential for several
rounds of heavy rainfall from Friday night through early Monday.
This heavy rainfall, potentially totaling several inches for some
locations over the three day period, could produce some areas of
flash flooding.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
