A MARINE WEATHER STATEMENT HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS...
  LAKE PONTCHARTRAIN AND LAKE MAUREPAS...

AT 146 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS...CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WINDS UP TO 33 KNOTS. THESE
THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING ACROSS MUCH OF LAKE
PONTCHARTRAIN...INCLUDING THE MID POINT OF THE CAUSEWAY
BRIDGE...MOVING NORTH AT 20 KNOTS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS UP TO 33 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES...AND LIGHTNING STRIKES. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR
IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THESE STORMS PASS.
