Through 700 pm, isolated showers and perhaps a thunderstorm will
develop and move westward at around 10 knots across the Lower Keys
and the surrounding nearshore waters. Residents and boaters impacted
by these showers can expect bouts of moderate to heavy rain, locally
gusty winds to 25 mph, and occasional lightning strikes within the
stronger cells. Island communities from Sugarloaf to Key West will
see the best chance of rainfall.
