...HAZARDOUS HEAT TODAY ACROSS PORTIONS OF EASTERN NEW MEXICO...

.Upper level high pressure over southern New Mexico today along
with downsloping west winds will result in hot temperatures over
portions of the eastern plains. The hot temperatures and very low
relative humidity will create a harsh environment for those
working outdoors or engaging in vigorous physical activity.
Dehydration, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke will be possible if
proper precautions are not carried out. Relief from the hot
temperatures is expected Friday as a cold front arrives from the
north.
