A WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM PST THIS EVENING FOR
THE EAST SLOPES OF THE SOUTHERN SIERRA.

* WINDS: WEST AT 40 TO 50 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 65 MPH. THE STRONGEST
  WINDS WILL BE ALONG EXPOSED RIDGE TOPS AND NEAR FAVORABLE CANYONS.

* TIMING: WINDS WILL INCREASE THROUGH EARLY EARLY AFTERNOON...PEAK BETWEEN
  3 AND 6 PM...THEN DECREASE IN THE EVENING.

* LOCATIONS: MOUNT WHITNEY...WHITNEY PORTAL...ASPENDELL.

* IMPACTS: STRONG WINDS WILL MAKE DIFFICULT CONDITIONS FOR OUTDOOR
  ENTHUSIASTS AND WILL BLOW AWAY ANY LOOSE OR UNSECURED OBJECTS
  OUTSIDE.
