STATIONS IN THE NWS HASTINGS COVERAGE AREA INCLUDING KEARNEY AND
HOLDREGE...

THANKS TO AN INCREDIBLY WET LATTER HALF OF THE MONTH...MANY
OFFICIAL PRECIPITATION STATIONS WITHIN THE LOCAL AREA RECORDED ONE
OF THEIR TOP-10 OR EVEN TOP-5 WETTEST MONTHS OF APRIL ON RECORD.
HOWEVER...AT LEAST A FEW PLACES MAINLY WEST OF THE HIGHWAY 281
CORRIDOR ACTUALLY MEASURED THEIR OUTRIGHT-WETTEST APRIL ON RECORD!

  TUESDAY)...SURPASSED THE PREVIOUS RECORD OF 8.53 INCHES IN 2007.

- KEARNEY NE AIRPORT* (NWS COOP OBSERVER...RECORDS DATE BACK 122
  YEARS TO 1895):
  NEW APRIL RECORD OF 8.39 INCHES...SURPASSED THE PREVIOUS RECORD
  OF 7.59 INCHES IN 1944.

  NEW APRIL RECORD OF 5.40 INCHES...SURPASSED THE PREVIOUS RECORD
  OF 5.06 INCHES IN 1944.
