AND A TREE WAS DOWN IN MAPLEWOOD CEMETERY. IN MARION, MULTIPLE TREES
AND LARGE BRANCHES WERE REPORTED DOWN ALONG ROUTE 6 AND LARGE TREES

FULLER, WAREHAM STREET, PURCHASE, AND PLEASANT STREETS AND LARGE
LIMBS WERE DOWN ON BECCA LANE. IN HINGHAM, A TREE WAS DOWN ON
ROCKLAND STREET. IN MATTAPOISETT, THERE WAS A LARGE TREE DOWN WITH
WIRES AND A SNAPPED UTILITY POLE ON MATTAPOISSETT NECK ROAD. ALSO,
THERE WERE LARGE TREES DOWN ON RIVER ROAD AND GOSNOLD STREET. IN

SCITUATE, A TREE WAS DOWN ON ANN VINYAL ROAD. THERE WAS SOME MINOR
COASTAL FLOODING JUST BEFORE 11 AM IN PLYMOUTH. THE PLYMOUTH BEACH
PARKING LOT WAS FLOODED, ALMOST TO THE MAIN ROAD. POLICE CLOSED THE
AREA TO TRAFFIC. IN ROCHESTER, A TREE WAS DOWN ON MENDALL ROAD. AT 1
PM ON SEPT. 22, A BOAT BROKE OFF A MOORING AND WASHED ASHORE IN THE
HINGHAM INNER HARBOR AREA. THERE WAS MINOR SPLASHOVER OVER THE
SEAWALL AT BRANT ROCK IN MARSHFIELD AND OVER THE SEAWALL NEAR WARREN
AVENUE IN PLYMOUTH, WHERE SURF WAS REPORTED TO BE 4 TO 6 FEET.

AND WESTPORT ROADS. ONE OF THE TREES FELL ONTO A CAR (UNSPECIFIED
STREET) IN REHOBOTH, A TREE WAS DOWN ON WOOD STREET NEAR PROVIDENCE
STREET AND A TREE BRANCH FELL ON BAKER STREET. IN FAIRHAVEN, A TREE
FELL ONTO CABLE TV WIRES ON NEW BOSTON ROAD, MULTIPLE TREES WERE
DOWN ALONG ROUTE 6, A LARGE BRANCH WAS DOWNED ON CURRY DRIVE, AND A
LARGE TREE FELL ON OLIVER STREET. ALSO, IN FAIRHAVEN, A SAILBOAT
MAST WAS SNAPPED AND BLOWN DOWN AT EARLS MARINA LONG ISLAND. A
SERVICE BARGE WAS SUNK ON LONG ISLAND NEAR WEST ISLAND SEAFOOD. ALSO
IN FAIRHAVEN, TREES AND WIRES WERE DOWN ON ACADEMY AVENUE, NORTH
STREET, AND LINDEN AVENUE. IN ATTLEBORO, A TREE WAS DOWN ON COUNTY
STREET AT TIFFANY STREET AND ANOTHER TREE WAS DOWN ON AN ACCESS ROAD
BEHIND THE SAVERS STORE. IN WESTPORT, TREES AND WIRES WERE DOWN ON
RIVERVIEW DRIVE, PINE HILL ROAD, THE EXIT RAMP TO ROUTE 88 NORTH,
AND WIRES WERE DOWN ON OLD HARBOR ROAD. A UTILITY POLE, TREE, AND
WIRES WERE DOWN ON MAIN ROAD IN WESTPORT. IN TAUNTON, A TREE WAS
DOWN ON WIRES ON PROSPECT STREET, POWER LINES WERE DOWN ON SCOUTING
STREET, A TREE WAS DOWN NEAR THE CHURCH GREEN AND ON DANA STREET,
AND A LARGE TREE LIMB WAS DOWN ON HART STREET. WIRES AND A STREET
LIGHT WERE KNOCKED DOWN ON SHORT STREET BY WORCESTER STREET IN
TAUNTON. NEW BEDFORD WAS HARD HIT WITH NUMEROUS TREES AND WIRES

IN SANDWICH, TREES WERE DOWN BETWEEN CHASE ROAD AND SERVICE ROAD, ON
CRANBERRY TRAIL NEAR QUAIL RUN LANE, AND ON SNAKE POND ROAD AT OLD
SANKE POND ROAD. IN EASTHAM, LARGE BRANCHES WERE DOWN ON ROUTE 6.

A COMBINATION OF HEAVY RAIN, HIGH SURF, AND STRONG WINDS CAUSED A
VARIETY OF DAMAGE ON NANTUCKET. DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS EARLY ON
SEPTEMBER 22, FOUR INTERNATIONAL ONE DESIGN SAILBOATS WERE SUNK IN
NANTUCKET HARBOR. THIS WAS PRIMARILY DUE TO HEAVY RAINFALL AND NOT
COASTAL FLOODING OR STORM SURGE. IN ADDITION, FOUR DIFFERENT BOATS
WASHED ASHORE DUE TO THE COMBINATION OF HIGH SURF AND STRONG WINDS.
THERE WAS MINOR COASTAL FLOODING ON WASHINGTON STREET, WHERE TWO OF
THOSE BOATS DRAGGED ANCHOR. THERE WAS MINOR COASTAL FLOODING OF
SHORE ROAD NEAR STRAIGHT WHARF. AT JETTIES BEACH, THERE WAS DAMAGE
TO AN OUTDOOR CANOPY AND THERE WAS SOME MINOR FRESHWATER STREET
FLOODING. BEACH EROSION WAS CHARACTERIZED AS MODERATE, PER EMERGENCY
MANAGEMENT. TREES AND LARGE BRANCHES WERE DOWNED OVER SMITHS POINT,
EEL POINT, AND WEST MIACOMET ROADS.
