...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED FOR THE SOUTH COAST
OF PUERTO RICO...

CONDITIONS WILL BECOME QUITE DRY AGAIN ON THE SOUTHERN COAST AND
SOUTHERN HILLS OF PUERTO RICO...AND WINDS WILL ALMOST AS STRONG AS
YESTERDAYS LEVELS. RELATIVE HUMIDITY WILL REACH THE LOWER 40S FOR
MANY LOCATIONS WHILE SUSTAINED WINDS REACH 18 MPH WITH GUSTS
REACHING 25 MPH AT TIMES. COMBINED WITH EXTREMELY DRY FUELS THESE
CONDITIONS WILL BE IN THE ELEVATED STATUS...ESPECIALLY BETWEEN
JUANA DIAZ AND GUAYAMA.

FIRE AND EMERGENCY OFFICIALS SHOULD BE AWARE THAT WEATHER
CONDITIONS ARE BECOMING MORE CONDUCIVE FOR THE IGNITION AND
SPREAD OF WILDFIRES.

FIRE DANGER STATEMENTS ARE ISSUED WHEN FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS
ARE APPROACHING...BUT NOT MEETING OR EXCEEDING...RED FLAG WARNING
