URGENT - FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE

.Warm and gusty winds and low relative humidity will produce
increased fire danger on the plains along and south of Interstate
70 this afternoon.  A Red Flag Warning has been issued for fire
weather zones 246 and 247, including now all of Lincoln county and
Eastern Elbert county. Fire danger will improve during the
evening with falling temperatures, however it will remain windy
through the evening so any fires that do start may remain
troublesome.

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM MST THIS EVENING FOR
WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR NORTHERN LINCOLN AND
EASTERN ELBERT COUNTIES.

The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Red Flag
Warning FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY...which is in effect
until 6 PM MST this evening.

* Affected Area...Fire Weather Zone 246.

* Timing...From 12 noon MST to 6 PM MST Monday afternoon.

* Winds...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* Relative Humidity...as low as 10 percent.

* Impacts...Dry grasses and small brush may ignite easily and
  spread rapidly with the warm, dry and gusty winds.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
