DAILY RIVER AND LAKE SUMMARY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
1139 AM EDT MON SEP 1 2014

...ALL RIVER FORECAST POINTS ARE CURRENTLY BELOW FLOOD STAGE...

SLOW-MOVING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A BROAD LINE PRODUCED
VARIED RAINFALL AMOUNTS OVER PORTIONS OF THE SC MIDLANDS LATE IN
THE DAY SUNDAY. HIGHEST TOTALS RANGED FROM ABOUT ONE TO TWO INCHES
BUT WERE LOCALIZED AND NOT EXTENSIVE.

A BROAD AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE CENTERED WELL OFFSHORE WILL CONTINUE
TO CIRCULATE VERY WARM AND MOIST AIR ACROSS THE AREA THROUGH
TUESDAY...WITH A WEAK TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE EXTENDING DOWN FROM
THE NORTH. THESE FEATURES WILL ONCE AGAIN SUPPORT WIDELY SCATTERED
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS DURING THE HOTTEST AND MOST UNSTABLE
MID-TO-LATE AFTERNOON HOURS.

NO SIGNIFICANT STAGE CHANGES ARE EXPECTED ON AREA RIVERS THROUGH
WEDNESDAY.
