...SHARP CHANGE TO COLDER WEATHER AT MIDWEEK...

A POTENT SPRING COLD FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS THE AREA MONDAY NIGHT
INTO TUESDAY. MILD WEATHER MONDAY WILL GIVE WAY TO A MUCH COLDER
AIR MASS TUESDAY. HIGH TEMPERATURES TUESDAY WILL BE 15-25 DEGREES
LOWER THAN THEY ARE ON MONDAY. THE FRONT WILL BRING A PERIOD OF
LIGHT TO MODERATE PRECIPITATION MONDAY NIGHT WITH SNOW LEVELS
DROPPING FROM AROUND 8000 FEET DOWN TO 4500 FEET BY TUESDAY
MORNING. SNOW AMOUNTS OF 1-3 INCHES ARE EXPECTED ABOVE 5000 FEET
WITH 3-6 INCHES POSSIBLE OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN. GUSTY WESTERLY
WINDS WILL ALSO DEVELOP BEHIND THE FRONT. ANOTHER DISTURBANCE WILL
BRING SHOWERS WITH SNOW LEVELS DOWN AS LOW AS 3000 FEET ON
WEDNESDAY...THOUGH AMOUNTS SHOULD BE LIGHT. THOSE INTENDING TO
TRAVEL OR HAVE OUTDOOR PLANS SHOULD STAY TUNED FOR ADDITIONAL

AIR MASS TUESDAY. AWAY FROM THE COAST...HIGH TEMPERATURES TUESDAY
WILL BE 15-25 DEGREES LOWER THAN THEY ARE ON MONDAY. THE FRONT
WILL BRING A PERIOD OF LIGHT TO MODERATE PRECIPITATION MONDAY
NIGHT, FOLLOWED BY SHOWERY WEATHER WITH ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS
TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY. THE AIR MASS WILL BE COLD ENOUGH THAT SOME
OF THE HEAVIER SHOWERS MAY CONTAIN SMALL HAIL OR GRAUPEL. SNOW
LEVELS MAY REACH DOWN AS LOW AS 3000 FEET TUESDAY NIGHT INTO
WEDNESDAY. THOSE INTENDING TO TRAVEL...HAVE OUTDOOR PLANS...OR
HAVE SENSITIVE OUTDOOR PLANTS...SHOULD STAY TUNED FOR ADDITIONAL

CLEARING TUESDAY NIGHT WILL ALLOW FOR A COLD NIGHT IN THE SHASTA
VALLEY. TEMPERATURES MAY FALL BELOW 30 DEGREES, WHICH MAY HARM
SENSITIVE PLANTS OR CROPS. IT WILL REMAIN CHILLY WITH A CHANCE OF
SHOWERS ON WEDNESDAY AND SNOW LEVELS AROUND 3500 FEET. LITTLE OR
NO ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED. THOSE INTENDING TO TRAVEL...HAVE
