...HOT TEMPERATURES EXPECTED MIDWEEK THROUGH THE HOLIDAY
WEEKEND WITH AN INCREASING POSSIBILITY OF THUNDERSTORMS...

STRONG HIGH PRESSURE CENTERED OVER THE SOUTHWESTERN UNITED STATES
WILL BUILD NORTHWESTWARD ACROSS OREGON AND NORTHERN CALIFORNIA
THROUGH THURSDAY...AND THEN WILL GRADUALLY WEAKEN THIS HOLIDAY
WEEKEND AS MONSOONAL MOISTURE BEGINS TO FILTER IN FROM THE
SOUTHEAST. THIS WILL BRING ANOTHER ROUND OF HOT TEMPERATURES TO
VIRTUALLY ALL INTERIOR LOCATIONS. IT`S LIKELY THAT RECORDS WILL
GET BROKEN. THE HOTTEST TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO OCCUR
WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY AFTERNOONS. ALSO, LESS THAN TYPICAL RELIEF
WILL OCCUR AT NIGHT WITH LOW TEMPERATURES REMAINING WELL ABOVE
NORMAL.

MONSOONAL MOISTURE AND INSTABILITY WILL ARRIVE FROM THE SOUTHEAST THE
LATTER PART OF THE WEEK INTO THIS WEEKEND MAKING THUNDERSTORMS
POSSIBLE THURSDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH THE INDEPENDENCE DAY WEEKEND.
THE GREATEST THREAT OF THUNDERSTORMS CURRENTLY APPEARS TO BE ON
SUNDAY.

KEEP THE FOLLOWING TIPS IN MIND DURING THE UPCOMING HOT WEATHER.
DRINK PLENTY OF WATER AND EAT LIGHTLY. WEAR LIGHT, LOOSE-FITTING
CLOTHING AND LIMIT PHYSICAL ACTIVITY. IF OUTDOORS, WEAR SUNSCREEN
AND SEEK SHADED AREAS. NEVER LEAVE CHILDREN...DISABLED
PERSONS...OR PETS UNATTENDED IN PARKED VEHICLES.
