...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
SOUTHWESTERN CHOCTAW...NORTHWESTERN WASHINGTON AND NORTHEASTERN
WAYNE COUNTIES UNTIL 715 PM CDT...

At 618 PM CDT, the strong thunderstorm was located near Silas, or 14
miles east of Waynesboro, moving north at 15 mph. Other strong
storms were noted 5 miles east of Waynesboro and just southeast of
Silas, also moving north at 15 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Waynesboro, Silas, Gilbertown and Toxey.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through
flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
