...Showers and Thunderstorms with Locally Torrential Rain will Move
Southeast across Johnston, Nash, Wilson, Edgecombe and Wayne
Counties through 1045 PM EDT...

At 925 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of showers and
thunderstorms with very heavy rain from near Rocky Mount southwest
to Wilson to near Clayton and Benson. Rainfall rates of around an
inch per hours with localized higher amounts will produce rises on
streams and creeks and some minor flooding. These storms were moving
southeast at 25 mph.

Locations impacted include...
Rocky Mount, Goldsboro, Tarboro, Smithfield, Wilson, Clayton, Elm
City, Fremont, Bailey and Micro.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
