...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO MIDNIGHT
MDT TONIGHT...

.A Pacific low pressure system will bring numerous snow showers
to the Snowy Range today and tonight. Periods of moderate
snowfall are expected this afternoon and evening, with the
heaviest snow accumulations above 10000 feet.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO
MIDNIGHT MDT TONIGHT...

* TIMING...Light snow showers will increase in coverage and
  intensity this afternoon and continue this evening.

* TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...6 to 8 inches, with locally higher
  amounts above 10000 feet.

* WINDS/VISIBILITY...Southeast 10 to 15 mph, shifting to the
  southwest 5 to 10 mph this evening. Visibilities will be
  reduced to a half mile in moderate snow showers.

* IMPACTS...Outdoor recreationists planning travel to the Snowy
  Range should be prepared for poor visibility and snow-covered
  mountain passes this afternoon and evening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities...and use caution while driving.
