...HEAVY SNOW EXPECTED IN AREA MOUNTAINS TODAY AND TONIGHT...

.A STRONG PACIFIC STORM WILL BRING HEAVY MOUNTAIN SNOWS AND
STRONG WINDS TO THE AREA TODAY AND TONIGHT. THE HEAVIEST SNOW WILL
OCCUR ABOVE 6000 FEET WITH LIGHTER AMOUNTS BETWEEN 5000 AND
6000 FEET. THE SNOW WILL BEGIN TO TAPER OFF THIS AFTERNOON WHEN
VERY STRONG WINDS WILL CREATE LOW VISIBILITIES AND NEAR BLIZZARD
CONDITIONS DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING. THE WIND AND
SNOW WILL END BY EARLY SUNDAY MORNING.

  BE EXPECTED ABOVE 6000 FEET WITH LESSER AMOUNTS BELOW THAT
  LEVEL. STRONG WINDS THIS AFTERNOON WILL CAUSE NEAR BLIZZARD
  CONDITIONS.

* TIMING...SNOW...HEAVY AT TIMES WILL CONTINUE OFF AND ON THROUGH
  THIS EVENING.

* MAIN IMPACT...ROAD CLOSURES WILL BE POSSIBLE AND DANGEROUS
  DRIVING CONDITIONS LIKELY ON MOUNTAIN ROADS ABOVE 6000 FEET.

* OTHER IMPACTS...STRONG AND GUSTY WINDS THIS AFTERNOON WILL
