URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...SIGNIFICANT WINTER STORM LIKELY ACROSS PORTIONS OF NORTHWEST
AND NORTH CENTRAL ALABAMA AND SOUTHERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE LATE
TONIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY...

.RAIN WILL BE ONGOING BEFORE AN ARCTIC COLD FRONT PASSES OVER THE
REGION THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT. AS THE TEMPERATURES FALL BELOW
FREEZING...THE PRECIPITATION WILL CHANGE OVER TO FREEZING RAIN
AND SLEET OVER FAR NORTHWEST ALABAMA AND SOUTHERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE
LATE TONIGHT. THE PRECIPITATION WILL THEN SPREAD SOUTHEAST ACROSS
THE REST OF THE TENNESSEE VALLEY THROUGH THURSDAY. TEMPERATURES ARE
EXPECTED TO BE BELOW FREEZING FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME OVER
NORTHWEST ALABAMA AND SOUTHERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE. AS A RESULT...THERE
IS A HIGH LIKELIHOOD OF BETWEEN ONE QUARTER TO THREE TENTHS OF AN
INCH OF ICE ACCUMULATING ON GROUND AND ROAD SURFACES OVER THAT AREA.

* IMPACTS...WIDESPREAD HAZARDOUS TRAVELING CONDITIONS ARE LIKELY
  ACROSS NORTHWEST ALABAMA AND SOUTHERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE DUE TO
  THE ICE ACCUMULATIONS ON ROADS AND BRIDGES.
