HYDROLOGIC OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DULUTH MN
430 AM CDT MON SEP 8 2014

...HEAVY RAINFALL TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY MAY PRODUCE LOCAL FLOODING
AND RISES ON AREA RIVERS...

A SIGNIFICANT LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL TRACK FROM THE SOUTHERN
PLAINS INTO THE CENTRAL GREAT LAKES TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY.
WIDESPREAD RAIN AND POSSIBLY A FEW THUNDERSTORMS WILL SPREAD
ACROSS THE REGION. THE HEAVIEST RAIN IS EXPECTED FROM TUESDAY
EVENING UNTIL WEDNESDAY MORNING. RAINFALL AMOUNTS FROM 1 TO 3 INCHES
ARE POSSIBLE WITH THE HIGHEST TOTALS EXPECTED TO OCCUR SOUTH AND
EAST OF THE HAYWARD LAKES REGION.

THERE IS STILL SOME UNCERTAINTY AT THIS TIME REGARDING THE EXACT
PLACEMENT AND MAXIMUM AMOUNTS OF THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL.
HOWEVER...AREA RESIDENTS SHOULD PREPARE FOR THE POSSIBILITY OF
RAPID RISES ON AREA WATERWAYS THAT COULD PRODUCE LOCAL FLOODING
AND THE POTENTIAL FOR ROAD CLOSURES AND WASHOUTS. LOW LYING AREAS
THAT ARE SUSCEPTIBLE TO FLOODING ARE ALSO AT RISK. ANYONE WITH
INTERESTS ALONG AREA CREEKS... RIVERS OR STREAMS SHOULD HAVE AN
ACTION PLAN TO QUICKLY SEEK SAFETY ON HIGHER GROUND SHOULD HEAVY
RAINFALL AFFECT THEIR AREAS.

PLEASE MONITOR THE LATEST WEATHER INFORMATION FOR CHANGES IN THE FORECAST
AND POSSIBLE WATCHES OR WARNINGS.
