FLOOD STATEMENT

...The flood warning continues for the following rivers in
Minnesota..
  Mississippi River At Aitkin affecting Aitkin and Crow Wing
  Counties
  Mississippi River Near Fort Ripley affecting Morrison and Crow
  Wing Counties

.The Mississippi River stage continues to rise at many locations in
northern and central Minnesota due to rainfall earlier this week.
Water levels will remain at or near forecast crests for 36 to 48
hours, with waters gradually receding through the weekend. Rain
and thunderstorms become likely Thursday afternoon through
Friday morning. Rainfall amounts of up to 1.25 inches are possible
during that time, which may extend the flooding through the weekend
and into Monday.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Mississippi River At Aitkin.
* At  7:30 PM Wednesday the stage was 12.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* At 12.0 feet...Minor flooding of farmland occurs in the Cedarbrook
  community..
This crest compares to a previous crest of 12.3 feet on Apr 17 2011.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Mississippi River Near Fort Ripley.
* At  7:00 PM Wednesday the stage was 10.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 10.3 feet by
  tomorrow early afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage
  Sunday evening.
* At 11.0 feet...This will cause minor flooding of rural areas near
  Fort Ripley..
This crest compares to a previous crest of 9.7 feet on Jun 15 2005.
