FLOOD STATEMENT

...The flood warning continues for the following rivers in
Minnesota...

  Mississippi River Near Fort Ripley affecting Crow Wing and Morrison
  Counties

.Snowmelt water and rainfall from this past Monday will flow through
streams, rivers, and tributaries through this week. The abnormally
warm weather has been steadily melting snow over the past several
days. This in combination with up to three quarters of an inch of
rainfall from Monday will result in modest rises on the Mississippi
River. Water levels have risen to minor flood stage at
Fort Ripley due to ice jamming downstream and fluctuations in stage
of 1 to 2 feet are possible until ice breaks up and moves out.
People with interests near area streams and rivers are encouraged
to monitor the latest forecast.

...Flood Warning now in effect until further notice...The Flood
Warning continues for
  The Mississippi River Near Fort Ripley.
* At  6:30 AM Wednesday the stage was 10.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 10.5 feet by this
  afternoon then begin falling.
* At 11.0 feet...This will cause minor flooding of rural areas near
  Fort Ripley..
This crest compares to a previous crest of 10.3 feet on May 22 2015.
