Once patchy fog and lingering stratus clear this morning, mostly sunny skies are expected today with high temps in the the upper 50s to mid 60s. Expect southwest winds to be strong today, with sustained winds around 12 to 20 mph and gusts of 25 to 31 mph. Min RH this afternoon will be in the 30-40% range for most locations, although min RH as low as 25% is possible if daytime mixing ends up deeper than expected this afternoon. Widespread rain arrives this evening into tonight and will continue for much of Saturday. Most locations will see 0.10" or more tonight through Saturday. The exception will be in far north-central MN around Koochiching County, where total rainfall will be only a few hundredths. High pressure building on Sunday and lingering into Monday will result in back to back days with min RH ranging in the upper 20s up to 40% areawide. Expect several wind shifts, one being to the northwest on Saturday and another being on Sunday when winds shift to the south and then southeast.
