.DISCUSSION...
A WARM FRONT IS EXPECTED TO SURGE NORTH INTO CENTRAL MINNESOTA
TODAY. THIS FRONT... IN COMBINATION WITH AN UPPER LEVEL
DISTURBANCE AND A VERY WARM AND MOIST AIRMASS WILL GENERATE
THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE NORTHLAND THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.
THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED SPREAD INTO THE VICINITY OF THE
BLOWDOWN LOCATION LATE THIS AFTERNOON... ENDING SHORTLY AFTER
MIDNIGHT. THERE IS A MARGINAL RISK OF SEVERE STORMS...WITH THE
MAIN THREAT BEING DAMAGING WINDS AND PERHAPS SOME LARGE HAIL.
RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF UP TO A HALF INCH ARE POSSIBLE. LIGHT WINDS
THIS MORNING ARE EXPECTED TO INCREASE OUT OF THE SOUTHEAST AND
BECOME GUSTY THIS AFTERNOON AHEAD OF THE THUNDERSTORMS.
PRECIPITATION CHANCES COME TO AN END EARLY ON SUNDAY. BREEZY WEST
WINDS ARE EXPECTED IN THE AFTERNOON.

COOLER AND DRIER AIR IS EXPECTED TO FILTER INTO THE REGION FROM
CANADA FOR MONDAY AND TUESDAY...BUT THERE STILL COULD BE ISOLATED
TO SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS...MOST LIKELY ACROSS FAR
NORTHERN MINNESOTA.
