THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHEAST MINNESOTA AND
NORTHWEST WISCONSIN.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE LAKE SUPERIOR REGION TODAY.
COLD NORTHERLY FLOW WILL DEVELOP OVER WESTERN LAKE SUPERIOR LATE
THIS MORNING AND EARLY THIS AFTERNOON...SETTING THE STAGE FOR
MODERATE TO HEAVY LAKE EFFECT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS FOR PORTIONS OF
NORTHWEST WISCONSIN THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING. THE GREATEST
SNOWFALL INTENSITY WILL OCCUR THIS AFTERNOON AND THIS EVENING.
WIDESPREAD SNOWFALL TOTALS OF 3 TO 6 INCHES ARE EXPECTED...BUT THE
NORTHERN PORTIONS OF ASHLAND AND IRON COUNTIES CAN EXPECT ABOUT 6
TO 12 INCHES. TRAVEL COULD BE DIFFICULT THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT
DUE TO THE ACCUMULATING SNOW AND LOW VISIBILITY IN THE HEAVIER
SNOW BANDS. THE LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL GRADUALLY DIMINISH TONIGHT
AND THURSDAY MORNING. LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNINGS HAVE BEEN ISSUED
FOR IRON AND ASHLAND COUNTIES...AND SNOW ADVISORIES FOR BAYFIELD
AND DOUGLAS COUNTIES. PLEASE READ THE LATEST WINTER WEATHER
MESSAGE FOR MORE INFORMATION.

THE COMBINATION OF COLD TEMPERATURES AND WINDS LATE TONIGHT COULD
SEE WIND CHILL TEMPERATURES APPROACHES. THERE COULD BE HAZARDOUSLY
COLD WIND CHILLS APPROACHING 25 DEGREES BELOW ZERO LATE TONIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

THERE WILL BE LINGERING LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS OVER IRON AND
ASHLAND COUNTIES THURSDAY MORNING...BUT THE SHOWERS WILL GRADUALLY
DIMINISH.

THERE WILL BE ANOTHER ROUND OF SNOW ACCUMULATION OVER THE
NORTHLAND THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY. EXPECT WIDESPREAD AMOUNTS OF
1 TO 3 INCHES...POSSIBLY MORE IN SOME AREAS.

SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR PORTIONS OF THE SOUTH
SHORE OFF OF NORTHWEST WISCONSIN FOR THIS AFTERNOON INTO THURSDAY
MORNING. PLEASE READ THE LATEST MARINE WEATHER MESSAGE FOR MORE
INFORMATION.
