NORTHWEST WISCONSIN.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE OUTLOOK AREA THIS AFTERNOON AND
EVENING...BRINGING LIGHT SNOW TO THE AREA. SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF UP
TO 2 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE BETWEEN THE CANADIAN BORDER AND HIGHWAY 2...
AND UP TO AN INCH GENERALLY ALONG AND SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 2.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY

SIGNIFICANT LAKE EFFECT SNOW IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ALONG THE
SOUTH SHORE FROM BAYFIELD TO IRON COUNTY...WITH THE HIGHEST
SNOWFALL EXPECTED IN THE ELEVATED AREAS OF THE GOGEBIC RANGE. COLD
NORTHWEST FLOW OVER LAKE SUPERIOR WILL CREATE MODERATE TO HEAVY
SNOW SHOWERS OVER LARGE PORTIONS OF BAYFIELD...ASHLAND AND IRON
COUNTIES. SNOWFALL AMOUNTS FOR IRON COUNTY MAY EXCEED 9 INCHES...
AND MORE THAN 6 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE FOR ASHLAND COUNTY. A LAKE
EFFECT SNOW WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHERN
WISCONSIN. CHECK THE LATEST WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE FOR DETAILS.

ANOTHER CLIPPER IS EXPECTED TO MOVE THROUGH THE REGION ON TUESDAY
NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY...BRINGING SNOW THAT WILL LINGER INTO
WEDNESDAY NIGHT. LIGHT SNOWFALL AMOUNTS ARE POSSIBLE. ADDITIONAL
SIGNIFICANT LAKE EFFECT SNOW IS POSSIBLE OVER NORTHERN IRON AND
ASHLAND COUNTIES IN NORTHWEST WISCONSIN WEDNESDAY AND WEDNESDAY
NIGHT.

WESTERN LAKE SUPERIOR.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

GUSTY SOUTHWEST WINDS OVER LAKE SUPERIOR TODAY AND THIS EVENING
WILL PRODUCE DANGEROUS CONDITIONS FOR SMALL CRAFT FOR MUCH OF THE
NEARSHORE AREAS OF LAKE SUPERIOR. SOUTHWEST WINDS OF 15 TO 20
KNOTS WITH GUSTS UP TO 30 KNOTS ARE EXPECTED. WAVES BUILDING TO 5
TO 7 FEET ARE POSSIBLE FOR PORTIONS OF THE NORTH SHORE...WITH
WAVES OF UP TO 5 FEET FOR THE SOUTH SHORE. A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY
HAS BEEN ISSUED...CHECK THE LATEST MARINE STATEMENTS FOR
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY

A STRONG COLD FRONT MOVING ACROSS LAKE SUPERIOR TONIGHT WILL CAUSE
WINDS TO TURN TO THE NORTHWEST FOR MONDAY AND MONDAY NIGHT. THESE
NORTHWEST WINDS WILL BLOW AT 15 TO 25 KNOTS WITH GUSTS AT TIMES OF
30 TO 35 KNOTS. A GALE WARNING MAY BE NEEDED FOR MONDAY AND MONDAY
NIGHT. INTERESTED INDIVIDUALS SHOULD KEEP UPDATED ON THIS STORM.
