This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast
Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Showers and thunderstorms are likely today, with some storms
possibly strong to severe, especially south of a Nisswa to Duluth
to Bayfield line. The strongest storms may produce hail to 1 inch
in diameter and frequent cloud-to-ground lightning, along with
some strong winds. The storms will also bring locally heavy
rainfall and may lead to localized flooding with the greatest
threat from near Pine City to Hayward to Mercer and locations
farther south. Rainfall amounts over northwest Wisconsin could
reach over one inch by tonight.

Strong northeast winds will increase the threat of rip currents
today, mainly in the Duluth entry affecting the Park Point Beach
in Duluth.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Thunderstorms will be possible through Saturday afternoon. The
best chance for precipitation will be from Friday into Saturday
afternoon.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Skywarn spotter activation may be needed today and tonight.
Reports of rainfall or flooding from spotters and the public are
encouraged today and tonight, along with reports of hail of any
size and any wind damage.

waters of western Lake Superior.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

A Small Craft Advisory has been issued for a portion of western
Lake Superior, from Grand Portage to Duluth, to Port Wing,
Wisconsin. See the latest Marine Weather Products for detailed
information.

Thunderstorms are possible today through this evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Thunderstorms will be possible through Sunday morning. The best
chance for precipitation will be from Friday into Saturday
afternoon.
