This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast
Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

A cold front boundary will continue to dive southward this
afternoon and tonight, which will bring a chance of rain showers
and possibly a rumble of thunder over northern portions of the
forecast area. Occasional lightning will be the main concern with
the thunderstorms.

The rain showers should mix with snow, or transition to all snow,
as temperatures drop overnight over much of the Northland. Up to
one inch of new snow accumulation is possible over the northern
portions of the forecast area, with perhaps some higher snow
amounts possible in the higher elevations of the North Shore.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

There will be a mix of precipitation types Sunday through Monday
night, especially across northeast Minnesota. There could be some
brief periods of sleet and freezing rain, mainly from the Iron
Range and points northwest.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Snow spotters are requested to report precipitation type, and
measurements of snow or ice accumulations, to the National Weather
Service. Anyone can report precipitation type with the free
M-PING smartphone app.
